YEA! FINLAND WILL KICK CANADA’S ASS!
The Pittsburgh Penguins defeated the defending champion Detroit Red Wings 2 to 1 in game seven of the Stanley Cup Finals last night in Detroit. Both goals were scored by Pittsburgh’s Max Talbot and Marc Andre Fleury backstopped the win. Fleury made several key stops including a last second desperation Tom Barrasoesque diving save on Detroit Captain, Nicholas Lindstrom, to insure the win.
The Penguins are the first team in 38 years to come back from a 2-0 deficit to win the Cup (the second team in NHL history to do it). This was the second time this season they came back from being down two games. They accomplished the same feat against the Washington Capitols in the quarter finals.
